About Hope Bullard Paintings

My earliest art memories are asking for couture magazines and catalogs so I could draw the people and flowers that I saw. Every time I had a pencil or pen, I drew.

But the voices in my life dissuaded me from my love for art and design. Still, my passion was always there, waiting, even as I dabbled in music and architecture. It showed the art class I took earning my degree. But in time, I earned an MBA and started work in finance. It highlighted my aptitude for recognizing and interpreting patterns.

When I moved into my new home in 2012, I couldn’t find the decor I saw in my mind’s eye. It was so frustrating. So I bought some paint and acrylic canvas and made it myself. It reignited my passion for art.

Acrylics offer a vibrancy of colors that lend themselves to the emotion of the moment. I use them to capture the moments that move me, resulting in a style fluid and loosely real. Inspiration is all around us, if only we know where to look.

I want people to lose themselves in my paintings. My clients buy custom paintings to have a heirloom art piece that resonates with their soul.
